Infrastructure cost
Entirely serverless on AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, S3 and CloudFront, scaling to zero between runs. Based on real AWS Cost Explorer token/request usage data (not a guess), priced at Amazon Nova's and Amazon Location Service's published on-demand rates (confirmed against AWS's own Price List API), at the pipeline's actual current volume — re-derived Nov 3, 2026 from 14 days of real usage, after story enrichment moved from Nova Lite to the stronger Nova Pro model.

Story enrichment is now almost all of the bill. On Nov 3, 2026 it moved from Nova Lite (~$0.50/month) to Nova Pro for better relevance, category and location judgements — a deliberate quality-for-cost trade. Its figure is the real enrichment token volume measured over the previous 14 days, re-priced at Nova Pro's published rate (a side-by-side test showed Pro's answers are the same length as Lite's); it will be re-checked against Pro's own billed usage once a few weeks of it exist. Trend extraction/Briefing rose slightly since the living theme registry added a daily theme-discovery call. Company Profiles processed no new documents in this window, so its steady-state figure (re-processing a company's document when it publishes a new one, roughly once a year per company) is unchanged; the one-time cost to onboard all 12 companies was about $0.52, already spent. Map-tile traffic is real, measured request volume × the published $0.04/1,000 rate. Excludes the shared CloudFront distribution's own baseline traffic costs for pranavjanardhanan.com, which exist independently of this app. Runs on Amazon Nova rather than Claude models due to a temporary Bedrock access limitation.
